We also offer carpet repairs, where you may have had an accident on your carpet by either a lighted cigarette falling onto the carpet, a coal / wood cinder spitting out of an open fire causing a burn. Even a heavy or sharp object being dropped may have made a hole. These may be able to be repaired by either patching or by reweaving (retufting). Patches can be taken from either spare carpet or from carpet that's under heavy furniture(that never moves). With this method there may be a colour match problem as it has probably not been exposed to the same light conditions ie exposed carpet can be bleached by sunlight. Retufting can be very successful if the hole/burn is not to large, any larger than thumb nail size will be visible, if smaller then with matching yarn it can be invisible. Where possible we will contact the manufacturer for matching yarn, or yarn can be taken from around the edges. Carpets can be restretched and seams repaired, which may have come apart. We can also refit carpets should they have been taken up, and supply and fit new underlay.
